• Currently, Apple AirPods and AirPods Pro are not in the official supported USB audio and video devices list. 
  • The cause for this incompatibility may come from the manufacture, we suggest you use devices in the list for fully support


  • Airpods and Airpods Pro will work with Teams but their behaviour may be unpredictable at times. The common experience is loss of pairing with your computer, or audio failure requiring a reboot. These issues are recoverable - usually with a reboot, but may recur. 


If you do wish to use Airpods or Airpods Pro with your computer - and Teams - you can pair them with Windows in the same way as you do with any other bluetooth device. 


1.  Click on the "Windows" button in the bottom left hand corner of your screen.


2.  Type "bluetooth" and as matches appear select "Bluetooth and Other Devices"


3. At the top of the screen click the "+" sign that is labeled "Add Bluetooth or other device."


The following window below will will appear:



1. Open the lid on the storage Airpods storage/charger and press the small button on the back of your Airpods storage/charger for three seconds to put it in pairing mode - you should see the white light flashing on the front of the storage charger.


2. Select bluetooth on the "Add a device screen."


3. The computer may take a moment or two to search for your devices. Once "AirPods" appears on the list of unpaired devices, click it and pairing should take place.


4. As a quick test you can go to youtube.com in your browser and run a video to confirm that sound is now coming from your Airpods.


5. In Teams you can go to your settings menu.

    a. Click on your picture on the top right hand end of the screen.

    b. From the dropdown menu select "Settings | Devices."

    c.When you click the dropdown lists for speaker or microphone you should see your Airpods listed there.
