Many users want to export their reports from Power BI instead of performing the analysis in the business intelligence tool. Microsoft offers a feature to export data in the tool using the ellipsis (three dots) in the upper-right hand corner of the Visualization.
1. Left-click in the Table visualization where the ellipses are located.
2. Left-click on Export Data in the drop-down list.
3. Choose the format you want to Export noting the row limitations. (Summarized data is the lowest level of underlying data in our current configuration).
4. Left-click on the Export button, the file will download and appear in the lower left-hand corner to view in Excel.
5. The file will export with the file name including today's date and you save to your OneDrive documents for further analysis.
