To setup an Android tablet or mobile device it must be reset to Factory settings. 

This will delete all data and apps from the device and return it to Out-of-the-box condition.

NOTE: If you are setting up a new device out of the box, you can bypass the factory reset section, and skip straight to the device enrollment section. 



Here's how to do it:

  • On the tablet go to Settings ->About tablet 

  • Tap Reset 

  • Tap Factory data reset 


Alternatively, the Reset function may be found under settings on some devices.


The QR code or Token value below can be used to enroll Android devices as corporate-owned, fully managed devices. 

The device must meet the minimum OS version listed below for the chosen method of enrollment.

The process to enroll a device:

  1. Turn on your wiped device.
  2. On the Welcome screen, select your language.
  3. Tap the Start button
  4. Accept the legal terms and tap NEXT
  5. Connect to your Wifi, and then choose NEXT. (Tablet will check for updates)
  6. On the Copy apps & data screen, tap Don’t copy
  7. On the Google sign-in screen, enter afw#setup instead of a Gmail account, and then choose NEXT.
  8. When prompted to setup the device tap Accept & continue
  9. On the Google Services screen, turn off usage and diagnostic data and tap NEXT
  10. On the Enroll this device screen, tap NEXT
  11. Allow your device to scan the QR code. Or, choose to enter the token manually.
  12. On the Welcome to Chrome screen tap Accept & continue
  13. Sign into the tablet using the assigned device user ID and password
  14. On the Medical Teams International Terms of Use screen tap Accept
  15. On the Install Work Apps screen tap NEXT
  16. On the Intune screen tap Sign in. Use the assigned device user ID and password again. Tap NEXT
  17. On the Register Device screen tap Register
  18. On the Setup Medical Teams International access screen tap NEXT
  19. After the Register your device screen is complete, tap NEXT to Choose device category
  20. On the Choose device category screen choose Corporate-owned device. (Or country-specific category if available)
  21. The device will load the Android user screen.
  22. After the device loads the Android user screen, go to Play Store. If you need other applications on the device, select the app and tap Install
  23. Setup is now complete. The device may still be installing apps, leave it running to complete this step.
